Have you ever looked back on your business journey and thought to yourself “Wow, why did NO ONE tell me about this sooner?!”
Well, consider this your sign….
I have compiled a list of social media tools and business resources for business owners, they are things that have helped change everything for me when it came to improving my business but more importantly… my social media content:
✅ Find a group of social media tools that help streamline your creative process.
My collective social media tools include (but not limited to):
• Canva
I feel this this is the most popular social media tool when it comes to creating graphics for all platforms, for your website, email newsletters and even printed marketing documents ie flyers, business cards etc.
It is so simple to use and really reasonably priced, so if you’ve not jumped on the Canva bandwagon yet… now is your time!
• Capcut
So I am late to the game with this one. But that’s because I hate creating video content, but this is great for finding trending memes to add your video into the background and easily create video content that’s current and still able to reach your ideal audience when static images is not quite cutting the algorithm anymore.
• Mailerlite
I’ve recently used Mailchimp for a couple of clients and honestly, it’s so old school and clunky. It made me realise how easy Mailerlite is (even in their new format which was jarring to adjust to.)
But just by doing a few email sequences for my clients, they realised how much easier the system was and how nicer and more professional their emails looked for their customers too! Don’t just take my word for it.
• Pin Inspector
This is for Pinterest only, but it’s a great tool to do regular keyword research, trends generator and analysing Pins on a deeper level. Take a peek here.
• Keywords Everywhere
This is a relatively new tool that I’ve been using for keyword research, but I’ve been seeing some wonderful results from it. It is a browser add-on for Chrome that shows search volume, CPC & competition on multiple websites so it’s not just Pinterest but SEO too! Check it out.
✅ Use tools to continue to share content that is evergreen:
• Tasty Pins
Tasty Pins is perfect for those using Pinterest as it is a WordPress plugin that allows you to optimise your blog’s images and encourage users to share your Pinterest Pin with just a simple click of a button.
It’s super easy to share, scroll down to my image below and see how simple it is to share to Pinterest! Take a look at their website here.
✅ Find businesses that share ready-made Canva templates:
• Ivory Mix
When it comes to content inspiration, Ivory Mix has the best membership around. You get tonnes of helpful blog posts and guides, plus monthly stock photos, inspiration for content, captions and templates… honestly it makes my life so much easier!!
• Ray of Social
Ray of Social is who makes me want to be more cheerful, but that is the northerners all over compared to us Essex folk!
As a Pinterest and Paid ads manager, you often get so caught up in creating ideas for your Clients, that it becomes so difficult to create content for your own socials. But G makes the best Canva templates ever and is forever giving me inspiration for content.
✅ Grow your business with the support of a network of likeminded individuals:
• The Two Lauras – Inner Hub
The Two Lauras are no holds barred, no BS, down to the nitty gritty kind of ladies. They have a phrase “JFDI” and I’ve definitely done that once or twice with amazing results. They have a great community of people and brilliant monthly masterclasses. Sign up today.
• Mums in Marketing Membership
If you want a group of women who just get you, this is the place to be. There is no judgement, no pressure – just easy relationship building with a wonderful bunch of ladies ready to cheer you on and help you build your business. Check them out here.
• That Marketing Club
This is a new membership that I’ve joined but it’s been super helpful with regards to creating a strategy for my own content and it’s actually worked a treat and I’ve seen a big difference!
Why not check it out and join the waiting list today?
Running your own business can be hard work, but it doesn’t have to be a struggle or overly complicated. Yes it is fun to play around with new tools and testing new strategies, but when you find the social media tools and resources that actually work for you and your business – it makes you question why you didn’t do it sooner!
Finding social media tools, resources and supportive people who have been in similar shoes and can help guide me to have a more successful business than I do now.
I hope this list has been helpful, I would love to know if you have tried any of these tools and resources, or if there are any you’ve tried and would recommend? I’d love to hear them.
